Who you appreciate, appreciates in value. Who you depreciate, depreciates in value.
When others appreciate us it makes us feel valuable. Appreciation lifts us up to a higher level. When people say they do not need appreciation they are wrong, EVERYONE needs appreciation. When we are appreciated for what we do it adds value to us. When we appreciate others it adds value to them. There is nothing in this world that will make us feel less worth than not being appreciated for who we are and what we do. When others do not recognize what we do it hurts. No matter how tough you think you are, you cannot go without appreciation. People give up when they are not appreciated. It is not that we are egotistical or self centered it is that we are humans with needs. We were created for community and when we are not appreciated by our community it leaves a void within us. Part of our nature is to be wanted and be loved. We were created to love and to be loved. When we love it fills a void, when we are loved it fills a void. Of course we can’t make people appreciate us, but we all can become a person that appreciates others. Remember, who you appreciate, appreciates in value. When you take the time and energy to appreciate others you will raise their value on the inside. When you raise their value on the inside they will start to reflect that on the outside. When we feel value and honor we start to live with value and honor. Gone are the days of worthlessness and loneliness when we are filled with value. Everyone of us has value, regardless of what others say. What others say about us is what we tend to live up to. So when you value others they will start to live up to that value and see themselves and valuable.
Be someone that adds value to others by appreciated them. Take every opportunity to lift them up to a higher level. If we all appreciated each other the way we should, lives would change overnight. What can you do today to add value to others by appreciating them. Make a commitment to add value to at LEAST 3 people everyday!
