What do you broadcast?
What do you transmit to others?
What do you project to the world?
Each day that we wake up we knowingly and sometimes unknowingly broadcast a frequency to the world around us. We transmit our attitude and outlook to others by what we say and how we act. This can be a great influence or a terrible influence to those around us based on what we are projecting. It is our choice what we broadcast out from within us. Even though you may have woken up on the “wrong side of the bed” I say you have the choice to get back in and crawl out the other side! There is NO excuse when it comes to choosing our attitude. People may choose what happens to you, they may choose what happens around you, but they can NEVER choose what happens in you! Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl said,
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
Transmit good news to your family. Tell them the good that happened everyday. Recall pleasant things you experience not the bad things that happened. Bury the bad and unleash the good to those around you. It is pointless and fruitless to spend your precious time and energy on all the bad stuff in life, it only makes those around you fearful, negative, depressed, and resentful about situations. Instead, pull out the good of everyday no matter what happened.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
Tune your mind and heart into the things that you are thankful for, not the things you are frustrated with. Bring sunshine wherever you go and your influence and impact will dramatically increase. No one likes to be around negative fault finding people. These kind of people drain others. However, everyone likes to be around life-giving encouraging people.
No one has EVER suffered from a joyful heart!
