You were created for greatness…but what happens when we don’t feel we are living that great life? What do we do when our dreams are not matching reality? We all have a desire for more. In fact, most people I have talked to would rather escape their current life in order to start living another one. Most people seem discontent with their current situations and want something better. More finances, less drama, nicer stuff, no-pressure work environments, greater purpose, fewer tasks to be done…the list goes on and on. So why aren’t we experiencing life to the fullest? After all Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came to give life and life to the fullest. Why is it that most people want to escape the present in order to get to their blissful future?
This desire to escape creates a current paradox of immense stress. Most people are unhappy because they are trying to simply get out of their situations. But remember you will never get out of your situation until you get out of the situation that which you need in order to get out of the situation. Instead of trying to escape our current realities we need to embrace them and allow God to train us for the next step. You will never get to your next assignment until you fulfill the one you are currently in. God doesn’t move us along the journey without developing us along the journey. You are where you are currently because there is something here you need to get. And you won’t get out of where you are until you get what it is that you need to get.
Instead of praying for a release start praying for a revelation. God will release you from your current season only when you have the revelation of why you are in it. Once you learn your lessons you then can move on, but not until then. This should be comforting not confusing. Comforting because you are here for a reason. You are not in your next season yet because there is still something for you to get. The good news is that you are on your way though. You wouldn’t be here unless you were being developed for something greater. Don’t let the enemy steal your season by getting you to lose focus in your season. Understand that God is up to something…regardless if you think He is or not. He is always up to something. He is always training us and developing us for the next move. Get ready because you are being set up by God for something great…I believe that and declare that over your life!
So take heart my friend, you are reading this because God is saying to you…”HANG IN THERE AND KEEP THE FAITH.” This verse is for you today…
Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
