A few months ago our family was getting ready for a vacation to Disney World. We were out shopping one day purchasing all the things we needed for the trip. While at a store in the mall our 5 year old daughter Allie all the sudden stopped in the middle of the aisle, threw her hands up in the air (as if she was worshiping God), tilted her head to heaven, and loudly proclaimed, “Every time I think about it the joy keeps coming in my mind!” She was ecstatic about the trip! We laughed out loud and rejoiced with her!
Later I started thinking about what she said. I think how Allie felt about our trip represents how we should feel about Christ in us, the hope of glory! When was the last time you just stopped to think about ALL that Christ has done for you? As a follower of Him He has forgiven us, saved us from eternal Hell, set our feet on a rock, lifted us up, seated us with Him, we have inherited His riches, we are full of His joy, peace, power, provision, blessings, we are safe, protected, secure in the palm of His hands, empowered, equipped, gifted, wired for purpose, designed with skills, hand-crafted by the Creator God Himself! I don’t know about you, but when I think about it the joy keeps coming in my mind!

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such thing.
Our mind is a powerful thing. God gave us a mind to use for His glory! If we use our mind to think of negative, ungodly, unfruitful things it serves no purpose. However, when we use our mind to think of positive, Godly, fruitful thoughts we receive the rewards of those things! Our thoughts have creative power. They are seeds that will take root, good or bad! If the bad thoughts take root it will grow nasty weeds within us. But if the good thoughts take root they will grow a harvest of life! Sometimes we have to pull out the weeds in our mind and do some spiritual gardening. We have to cultivate a garden of thoughts that are watered with Godly thinking! Quit allowing yourself to think thoughts of defeat, unworthiness, hurt, fear, disease, loss. Take the time you normally would spend on negative thinking and start praising God for victory, worth, joy, faith, healing, and increase! Quit telling God how big your problems are and start telling your problems how BIG your God is! Think about the goodness of God, not the badness of your situation. Let your mind be filled with the Holy Spirit, who pours out peace that passes all understanding! Believe bigger, trust more, step out further, and speak life!
