Part 3: Rising Above Life’s Storms
The Faith to Soar
Storms are a part of life. They come without warning, disrupt our plans, and challenge our sense of control. But what if the storms we face are not obstacles to escape but opportunities to rise?
The eagle is one of nature’s most fascinating creatures, especially in how it handles storms. While most birds seek shelter during a storm, the eagle does the opposite. It flies directly into the storm, using the turbulent winds to lift itself higher. By embracing the storm, the eagle soars above it.
This is the same principle Isaiah 40:31 speaks of: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” God calls us to face life’s storms head-on, not in our strength but in His. When we place our hope in Him, He gives us the ability to rise above the chaos.
Rising above doesn’t mean ignoring the storm or pretending it doesn’t exist. It means shifting our perspective. Instead of focusing on the winds of adversity, we focus on the God who is greater than the storm. Like the eagle, we don’t overcome by working harder—we overcome by trusting deeper.
If you’re in the middle of a storm today, remember that it’s not meant to destroy you—it’s meant to lift you. Let God’s strength carry you above the chaos, giving you a perspective of hope and victory. The winds that feel overwhelming are the very winds God will use to take you higher. Trust Him, and watch as He helps you soar above every challenge.
