We can always trust that God’s plans are good and good for us. Founder of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Anne F. Beiler said, “My philosophy is: Life is hard, but God is good. Try not to confuse the two.”
Jeremiah 29:11
I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
There is no one else in the whole universe, including you, that has better plans for your life than God does. There is no one else who cares about your success more than God does. There is no one else that has more love for you than God does. Think about that for a moment. Let this thought sink in: God has bigger plans for your life than you do. God is for you, not against you. He wants to see you succeed in all you do. He is your biggest fan, not your worst enemy. Though things do not always turn out the way we think they will, or maybe even hoped they would, His plans will always lead us to our very best future in Christ. God knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and how we need it. He is a giver. In fact, He gave His one and only Son as a ransom for our sins. He moved Heaven and Earth because of His goodness towards us. Know that He is good, and His love endures forever, no matter what you are facing.
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
When we feel unworthy, doubt, and fear we can trust that He is good. He is good because that is who He is. Goodness radiates from God and illuminates our destiny. God is not out to get you, He is out to get in you. He wants to fill you with greater joy, greater faith, greater peace, and greater strength for your journey. His goodness outweighs our badness.
