Here’s How Faith Grows

Faith can only grow when faced with obstacles. Take a moment to let that sink in. If you knew how things would turn out, would it really be faith? True faith requires stepping into the unknown, trusting that something extraordinary will happen even when you can’t see it. God doesn’t lay out a roadmap for us because he wants us to have faith. It’s not about figuring out everything on our own. Faith thrives on the element of uncertainty. If you’re going to strengthen your faith, you must overcome challenges. You have to face the struggles head-on and push through.

Growth requires tension and effort. If you want to experience greater things with God, understand that challenges are necessary for your faith to flourish. Don’t resist them or see them as strange occurrences. Embrace them as opportunities for growth. Just like kids experience growing pains, we, too, must endure discomfort to become stronger. It may be uncomfortable, but it’s all part of the journey towards our goals.

So let me ask: Are you taking the next step forward and trusting God? Remember, He has promised never to leave or forsake us. We can confidently declare that the Lord is our helper and fear nothing, for mere mortals have no power over us. This is how we move forward, even when it feels like we’re going in reverse. Hold on to that unwavering faith and confidently proclaim that God is by our side. No matter how crazy things may seem or how unsure we feel, we can stand firm, knowing that the Lord is our helper and He is already ahead of us, guiding us.

Hebrews 13:5b, 6 (NIV)

God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” 6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
