Doors take us places. They exist to separate one area from another. As you walk through a door you enter into a brand new arena with possibilities waiting for you there. We walk through doors all day long to get to where we need to go.
Life is full of decisions we need to make in order to walk through the right doors of opportunity. We face doors all day long and have to make decisions on which ones to walk through. Some doors lead to success, other doors lead to destruction. Some doors are smaller, some doors a huge. But make no mistake life is about choosing which doors we are going to walk through to get to where we need to go. So how do we know which doors to walk through in life? How do we know if the door we are walking through is the door to success or the door to destruction?
Have you ever looked at traditional doors? Have you ever noticed the craftsmanship of the grooves and slots within them? Have you ever noticed the pattern of the design? Traditional Colonial Doors are also called the, “Cross & Bible” doors. They are cut and designed to resemble a cross and a Bible within it.
How cool is that? We still to this day make doors like this in almost every house. What a great concept…walk through the doors that are marked with honoring God.
What a great illustration for us to follow. How do we know what doors to walk through in life? The ones that will honor God and follow the truth in His Word. If we are faced with a decision we need to look for the door that will best honor God’s calling for our life. We do not need to make this hard. God honors those that follow His direction. We need to be in prayer and allow God to open our eyes to see which door will take us in the right direction for our life. You can’t go wrong with following God’s door for your life. What is incredible about God is that even if we walk through the wrong door God puts another door in that room for us to walk out of, it’s called forgiveness. If we follow God’s direction and plan we will begin to walk through His doors that lead us into the path of His commands.
Revelation 3:8
“Behold, I have set before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little strength, and have kept My Word and have not denied My name.”
Doors that God has opened for us lead to other doors that He will open for us. We think sometimes that if we walk through a door of opportunity we have arrived. We are done and now have reached the end. But life is about walking through a door that leads to another door that will lead to another door, that will open another door, etc… Understand that life is about walking through MANY doors to get to where you need to go. One opportunity leads to another opportunity, which leads to another opportunity, etc…We need to be faithful to walk through each door God sets before us.
Make sure you are walking through the God doors in your life and you will end up in the best place possible. Sometimes the God door is not the easiest door to walk through, but it is always the best door to walk through. Never let your fear of walking through God’s door keep you from experiencing what is on the other side. Today walk through the God doors, tomorrow walk through the God doors, make a commitment to always walk through the God doors ONLY.
I’m so inspired and blessed with this. Thank you so much. This is such an awesome work. :))
