The other day my family and I were out shopping on a rainy day and we came across the building you see in the picture. It was an Immediate Care facility that had a big sign reading…OPENING SOON. We laughed and got a picture as quick as we could. I thought this was a great illustration…

We all suffer from having big dreams with small sacrifices. We want immediate results but put off the work it takes to attain it. We all have a “opening soon” sign hanging in our minds. We have big plans, huge ambition, and great ideas. But we all don’t have big faith, huge investments, and great sacrifices. We want immediate results with a risk-free deal. The problem is, success doesn’t come without hard work. Everyone wants to get skinnier, but no one wants to change how they eat. Everyone wants more money, but no one wants to give in order to get. Everyone wants more time, but no one wants to give up their laziness. It’s not want you want; it’s what your willing to do that makes the difference. Most people have had a “opening soon” sign on their life for years. They are still trying to “figure it out.” Well…you don’t figure it out…you work it out. The successful people are the ones who just go vs. those who are waiting to know. If you are waiting to figure everything out and know every step you’ll be waiting your whole life. The most successful people didn’t wait until they had everything figured out before they stepped out. They stepped out and then started to figure everything out. It is in the going that we start knowing. Get creative and start doing something with your dreams…whatever it takes!

What are you putting off that you need to just do? What are you waiting for that you need to get working for? Quit messing around with day dreaming and start day doing. Quit hoping things will turn out great and start using the opportunities God has given you to build the life He has called you to.
