Worship is about listening to God.  As we enter His courts with thanksgiving and praise, we then enter His throne room where God shares the secretes of His heart.  This is the place where God begins to speak to us.  What an amazing thought to think that the creator of the universe wants to commune and converse with us.  Did you know God desires to talk with us.  Jesus said,

John 10:27

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

When we enter His presence all other voices become silent.  Everything else drowns out when we are close to His heart.  The world is a noisy place.  There are many voices calling us and telling us what to do and who to be.  But when we draw close to the heart of God there is a special place that resonates with His voice.  A gentle whisper that we can hear.

1 Kings 19:11, 12

The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for theLord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but theLord was not in the earthquake.  After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

The more we become the worshipper we are called to be the more we learn to hear God’s voice.  Just like a baby learns to communicate as he/she grows older, the more we learn to hear God as we grow as a worshipper.  I think God is always talking to us but the question is…are we listening? We have to learn to tune into His frequency and quiet all the other static in life.  Worship tunes us into His presence and the reception becomes clear.

We need to make sure we are spending time in worship to God.  We need to spend time communicating with the Father.  As we communicate with Him, He communicates with us.  Spend some time today in His presence.
