“Where there is no FAITH for the FUTURE there is no POWER in the PRESENT.”
What strong implications this phrase has…if we have no drive and hope for our future than what is powering our present? Faith is the fuel to our future. It is what fills our spiritual gas tank. Where there is no faith there is no power. Power is a result of having faith. When we build our faith up we build our future up.
What are you believing God for in your future? What B.I.G. (Bold, Intentional, God-Sized) dreams are you praying for over your life? What B.I.G. things are you planning for in your future? If the answer is…”I don’t know” then the answer is…”nothing”. If you can’t identify what you are believing God for in your future, you aren’t believing God for anything for your future. But God desires us to ask Him and seek Him for a purpose.
So the question we have to ask ourself is…”Where is our faith-o-meter for the future?” Because it will determine our present. So goes our expectations and faith so goes our future. God seems to meet us at the level of our expectation. Remember how Jesus would ask those before He healed them…”Do you want to be healed.?” Why did He ask them? God was seeing what their expectation was. Faith can be the lid that determines our drive in life. If there is a lack of faith there will be no gas to push forward. After all why push forward and keep working if we don’t truly believe anything will happen in the future? Don’t let the lid of faithlessness crush your dreams and God-given purposes in this life. You have too much to do while you are on this earth, so don’t waste your time questioning your faith. When you have faith for the future you have power from God to be used right where your at in the present. Let faith rise up within you and be filled with God’s power to accomplish more than you can imagine.
Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Take your FAITH with assurance to the throne room of God… stand on His promises.
