Let me share a powerful story about my youngest daughter, Allie. It was a moment in our bedroom where these small weights were lying around. Maybe six or seven years old, Allie walked into the room and picked up the weights. She began to dance around with them.
I looked at her and said, “Wow, Allie! You’re working out, aren’t you?” But her response stopped me- it was too good not to remember. She looked at me, a bit confused, and said, “No, Daddy. I just love wiggling around with heavy things in my hands.” And off she went, dancing with weights.
That experience with Allie got me thinking. Isn’t that better than just a simple workout? Instead of calling it a workout, Allie found such joy in simply wiggling with heavy things in her hands. She didn’t see it as a burden but as a delightful experience. And that’s when it hit me – as Christians, we should approach tension and challenges like Allie did. Instead of viewing it as something dreadful, we can see it as a process to embrace and make the most of. We can wiggle around and find joy while navigating through the tension. So let’s shift our perspective and enjoy the journey because we know in the end, God works it all for the good somehow, some way, even when there seems no way.
Let’s unlock our potential and embrace the tension that leads to spiritual growth. Together, we will dance through life’s challenges, finding joy and extracting wisdom to transform us into our best selves. Are you ready to wiggle with purpose?
